LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – ISCO Industries, Inc. (ISCO) is expanding its long-term commitment to West Texas and the surrounding areas on February 14, with the grand opening of a new 20,000 square foot facility located at 5710 West County Road 122 in Midland, Texas.
“Reinvesting in our company is incredibly gratifying, and this new facility in Midland allows us to better serve the customers in west and south Texas as well as southeast New Mexico and beyond,” noted ISCO CEO Jimmy Kirchdorfer. “A more robust footprint enhances our operating capabilities and allows us to continue to expand the ISCO family.”
An open house will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an official ribbon-cutting at 2:00. In addition to seeing the new facility, invitees will have the opportunity to experience the first off-site public demonstrations of the newly developed McElroy Tritan™ 560 fusion machine. ISCO is North America’s largest distributor of McElroy HDPE fusion machines. The Tritan 560, which was introduced in October is a self-contained, self-propelled, all-terrain machine that boosts job- site efficiency and improves workplace safety by eliminating the need to top-load pipe into the fusion machine.
The new 10-acre facility replaces a 3,000 square foot warehouse that was previously located at 1500 S CR 1309 in Midland and originally opened in January of 2013.
“ISCO is growing right along with the demand for HDPE pipe and products,” says Phil Foley, the vice president of manufacturing. “Our customers have come to expect the absolute best service from our team, so we are reinvesting in our facilities to make sure that service remains the best in the business.”
In addition to a warehouse that is nearly seven-times larger than the old facility, the new property includes a dedicated training facility, will allow for enhanced efficiency in shipping and warehousing, provides a greater capacity for the equipment business and subsequently add jobs. The expanded footprint increases space for HDPE inventory.
The Midland property is one of ISCO Industries’ five locations in Texas, which include sites in Houston, Mansfield, Cedar Hill and Corsicana.
