What does this new process mean to you?
The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) now requires operators to maintain joining equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended practices or their own written procedures. This new rule for equipment maintenance (49CFR §192.756.756) is now in effect with a December 2019 deadline for compliance.
What can ISCO do for you?
ISCO can help you meet the new PHMSA requirement by providing an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) inspection. The inspections are facilitated through a new Equipment Inspection App implemented on the McElroy DataLogger® 6. The app features a checklist for maintaining McElroy equipment, and the ISCO inspector will be able to identify any issues that may exist with the equipment and recommend any maintenance that needs to be performed. Third-party ISCO inspectors can come to you and do on-site inspections at your location or you can drop your equipment off at one of our many ISCO locations closest to you.
Tracking and traceability? No problem.
The app also provides a safe, secure and accessible online data storage solution for all machine inspection reports and a physical sticker will be applied to your piece of equipment by the inspector. With a complete inspection history for each machine, you will be able to provide easy verification. You will have access to your reports by your machine’s serial number or the inspection number through our inspection website.
