The Hydro-Bell culvert inlet device delivers a significant flow improvement over most culvert inlet shapes when operating under inlet control conditions. Ideal for many flood-prone culverts, Hydro-Bell connects to a female Snap-Tite end, providing a larger, wider intake at the culvert entrance. Bell-shaped chambers inside the pipe further increase throughput by reducing the effect of turbulent eddies as rushing water flows past.
Hydro-Bell is the first inlet device introduced in recent years that uses newer materials to capitalize on the effects of culvert fluid dynamics. This innovative design makes it possible to maximize the hydraulic efficiency (and/or reduce head loss) of a relined culvert.
