High-density Polyethylene Piping Products
Why HDPE?
Engineered for performance, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) offers a smarter, more reliable and responsible alternative to steel, PVC, concrete, and other legacy piping materials.
HDPE: the clear choice
ISCO’s HDPE leadership stems from the largest in-stock inventory of HDPE pipe products, reliable supply, industry experience, technical guidance and project support—and the clear advantages of the material itself.
100-year service life
High corrosion and chemical resistance for a maintenance-free product life, lower cost of ownership, and maximum infrastructure ROI
Stroger joints than PVC or steel
HDPE fusion joinery technology for leak-free performance throughout the life of the pipe
Lighter and more flexible than steel or concrete
Superior strength-to-weight ratio and highly flexible for easier, faster, and less expensive installation with fewer fittings and joints
Higher flow rate
30% better flow than metal, reducing diameter requirements for lower energy and pipe costs
Lower environmental impact
HDPE’s long life, leakproof joints and light weight combine for lower impact and a lower carbon footprint
ASTM and ISO compliant
Manufactured to meet rigorous ASTM and ISO standards, HDPE ensures quality and consistency across a wide range of applications

HDPE Pipe FAQs
Our most frequently asked questions

HDPE pipe is used to transport water, wastewater, chemicals, gas, and industrial fluids. Its flexibility, corrosion resistance, and long life make it ideal for municipal, industrial, mining, and infrastructure projects.

When properly designed and UV-stabilized with carbon black, HDPE pipe can last 100 years or more—even when installed above ground. It resists sunlight, corrosion, and impact, reducing maintenance costs.
PE4710 refers to the material classification of HDPE resin. The “47” designates high density and crack-resistance; “10” indicates a hydrostatic design stress of 1,000 psi. This rating allows higher pressure capability and improved longevity.
HDPE offers leak-free fused joints, resistance to corrosion and chemicals, lighter weight, and easier handling compared to steel or PVC. It typically provides a longer service life and lower total installed cost.
